The findings reveal complex and diverse legislation related to femicide in Mexico, highlighting the need for greater harmonization and clarity in laws to ensure equal justice in cases of gender-based violence. The study compares federal femicide regulations with federated laws laws in 2018 and 2022, as well as analyzing their application in sentencing in Nuevo León.
